What is a speed?

It is the rate at which something moves or travels.

The rate at which something happens or is done. To take someone or something somewhere very quickly.

If we there is a good speed then there is also a bad speed.

Gen 24:12 “And he said, o Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me GOOD SPEED this day and shew kindness unto my master Abraham.”

Eliezer is the eldest or senior servant of Abraham, Gen24:2 and Abraham put him on oath that he must take a wife for his son, Isaac in Abraham country. Eliezer is not from the country of Abraham, he knew it is a great take and he will need divine assistance to succeed in the assignment.

Ps 37” Commit thy way unto thy Lord, trust also in him and he shall bring it to pass”. To have a good speed is to prosper in all you do; it is for the Lord to direct your path .Ps 16:11,”Thou shall show me the path of life.” When God show you the path life, then if aids you good speed, because your steps are according to the divine way and purpose.

Good speed is walking and working in the direction that most high God had set up for you. Eliezer spent one night in the city of Nahor to get Rebecca for Isaac because the Lord prospered his way. Gen 24:56.

Eliezer was not going up and down as to who to choose, because the Lord told him the path to take.

Abraham’s servant knew the God of his master and committed his way unto him.

In his month of July, the Lord will bid you a good speed in Jesus name, every area of life you seen crawling and struggling, your season of good speed has come.

The year 2015, is loaded with prophecy of success and breakthrough, hold unto it and pray until something good happens. Good speed is a divine speed, because every good thing comes from Lord. Nehemiah is Neh 1:11 prayed the same prayer for a prosperous journey and the Lord granted him his request before the king who captured them.

When the way of a man pleases the Lord, He maketh his enemies to be at peace with him. Every step a man takes against the Lord will result to a bad speed. Anything that is contrary to the word of God, God cannot prosper such because it tends toward destruction. If you are into evil and wickedness and you are prospering in it, be careful, God can never be against Himself, it is Satan that is pushing you towards destruction.

There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof is destruction. Abraham servant prospered, God gave him good speed because he was walking in obedience to the word of God concerning Abraham not take a wife in a strange land. He also prospered because he did not lean on his own understanding. The desire and wish of the Lord is that we all proper as in 3 John: 2.

Speed has to do with distance and time. Life is all about assignment on earth, how you handle the assignment God has placed in your hand. We cannot all live like Methuselah here on earth; Jesus lived for 33 ^1/2 years and completed his assignment here on earth. Life is short; you need God’s good speed to achieve your purpose and meet expectation of God concerning you.

You have to know that time move fast and wait for no one. Eliezer refused to eat the food set before him until he completed the purpose of his visitation. What are you lingering on what is that distraction on the divine assignment.

God can only bid you good speed only when you are his own, Abraham was in covenant with God, so he responded to his servant (Eliezer), for God to give you good speed in life he must be your shepherded and you, his sheep.

HOLY CONVOCATION

                                                              

 ( Holy Convocation is  the Theme For The Month Of June 2015 )

Convocation from the word Convoke means to call together. Bringing out vocation from the word convocation, vocation is a body of people doing the same kind of work. So, we can say then, that convocation is the gathering of a particular group of people in response to a summon.

Most times whenever one hears of convocation, one immediately will think of University convocation, which is a period when a set or a particular group of graduates are gathered together. It is often a time of joy, as these graduates are free of school activities/tasks, having passed through all tests, assignments, sleepless nights of reading etc and thus passed the expected examinations, hence graduates. Such graduates are decorated and celebrated on the Convocation day.

Beloved, I bring you good news from the throne of the Almighty God; your day of convocation has come, and it is a Holy Convocation in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

You ask, “What do I mean?”

The Lord, God of Israel is calling you to a Holy convocation. He has seen your Trials, your Tribulations, your Tears, your Tests, and your Cries, even concerning those things around you. I rejoice with you, the Lord who in Num 28:26 called the Israelites to a Holy convocation, to a rest; today is gathering you to a rest, to freedom from all that had been troubling and bothering you in the past. Concerning those issues/situations that had been asking where God is, in your life, the Almighty God is announcing your convocation, your rest, your celebration in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

This month (the sixth of the year) is your month of graduation from every school of Captivity, bondage, pains or sorrow in the mighty name of Jesus. Every of your labour in this month shall bring forth fruitfulness, joy and peace unto you In Jesus name.

Esther and her people got their freedom and liberty out of bondage of death that Haman placed upon their lives. It was a great celebration for the people because they were released from anguish, pains and sorrow.

In Gen 12:4, it was a new beginning for the Israelites who have been in captivity for 430 years; when their day of freedom came through the mighty hand of God.

It was a day of Holy Convocation and celebration for Elisha when the double portion of Elijah fell upon Elisha. In 2 Kings 2:15; the sons of prophet bow before him, because his convocation has come. This month, all men that mocked you shall bow unto you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

One thing is however common or similar between University convocation and Holy Convocation. Both convocation are made up of a group or specially selected people who had been Tested, Approved, Qualified, Purified, Refined, Saved and thus fit for Decoration, fit for Convocation. These are the category of people fit for the above rest/freedom, the Holy convocation.

Dear reader, I know you desire this Holy convocation but may be saying it’s not for you, because you are still living in sin or was once with Jesus Christ but have backslidden; Our God is ever Merciful and will allow you into the Holy convocation, only if you can surrender your life to Jesus Christ and accept him as your personal Lord and savior.

And the good news is that not only will you be allowed into the Holy convocation here on earth but you will also have a place in the Eternal Holy convocation in heaven with the Almighty God Himself.
